JCT Building was founded on over 20 years of hands-on experience, hard work, and a genuine passion for the trade.
I left school at 15 and began my journey as a carpenter’s apprentice, learning the fundamentals of the industry from the ground up. Over the years, I developed my skills across all aspects of carpentry — from first and second fix work to roofing and full loft conversions — building a solid foundation in both craftsmanship and site management.
After more than a decade in the trade, I made the decision to go out on my own. In the early days, I worked relentlessly — balancing full-time site work during the week while taking on additional jobs at weekends to build up both experience and the business. That dedication led to the creation of JCT Building around eight years ago.
Since then, the company has gone from strength to strength. What started as a one-man operation has grown into a trusted, fully project-managed building service, taking on larger and more complex projects year after year.
I’m incredibly grateful for the people who helped shape my journey, especially the mentors and early opportunities that gave me the skills to succeed. Like any business, there have been challenges along the way — but through hard work, consistency, and a commitment to quality, JCT Building has continued to grow.
